This website is the online home of the Leicester based band Soft Bodies.

We’re also currently in the process of auditioning vocalists so if you like what you hear and think you have something to contribute, let us know.

Singer Auditions Continue

We’ve had several auditions recently but so far no one who really fits what we’re looking for. Here’s a quick description of the type of person we’re after.

You should ideally be between the ages of twenty and thirty and have some experience in recording and gigging. You should live in Leicester or be prepared to travel or collaborate over the internet. If the latter, you’ll need to have some decent equipment and either broadband or infinite patience.

You could be male or female but as most of our demos have male vocals, we’re more interested in males at the moment. However, there are many songs which are currently instrumentals and which don’t have lyrics so if you’re good you should still get in touch. If we like you we’re willing to tailor material to your strengths.

Most important of all, you need to have drive and dedication. We’ve all been in far too many bands with people who are not really interested in making music - they just want to be in a band.

We are currently looking for singers to contribute vocals to our demos.

Many of the songs already have lyrics and melodies - they just need proper vocals recording.

Head over to the MP3s page and download some of our demos. We write in several styles so there’s likely to be something that appeals to you. If you’re interested, get in touch with us and tell us a little bit about yourself and your influences.

We are based in Leicester in the UK, so people located here or nearby would be preferable. However, we’re interested in anyone with talent and are willing to collaborate via the web if necessary.
